Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Elovix. They are written to be read, not to be survived — if something here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

1. The agreement

By creating an account or using the Elovix dashboard or macOS application, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using Elovix on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. The service is provided by Elovix Technologies Pvt Ltd.

2. What Elovix does

Elovix is a real-time assistant for interviews and meetings. It transcribes system audio, optionally reads a screenshot you send it, and generates suggested answers grounded in documents you have uploaded. It runs as an overlay on macOS that is excluded from screen capture by the operating system.

3. Acceptable use — read this one

Elovix is a tool, and how it is used is your responsibility. You agree to use it only where assistance is permitted, and specifically not to:

  • Use it in any examination, assessment, certification, or interview where you have been told — or where the rules make clear — that outside assistance is prohibited.
  • Misrepresent your qualifications, employment history, or identity.
  • Record or transcribe anyone without the consent the law of your jurisdiction requires.
  • Use it to break the law, infringe rights, or generate unlawful content.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our prompts, model routing, or credentials; or circumvent balances, rate limits, or metering.
  • Share one account between multiple people, or share your pairing token.

Many organisations prohibit assistance during hiring. Many jurisdictions require every party to consent before a conversation is recorded. Checking both is on you, and we cannot check them for you. We may suspend or terminate an account we reasonably believe is being used in breach of this section.

4. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in and your paired devices secure. Tell us at support@elovix.tech if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. You may revoke any paired device from the dashboard at any time.

5. Your content

Documents you upload remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store them and to include them in prompts sent to our model providers so answers can be generated for you. We do not use your content to train models. You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.

6. Tokens, payment, and pricing

Elovix is prepaid and usage-based. There is no subscription and nothing recurring. You buy tokens, which are a unit of account for usage of this service — they are not money, not a stored-value instrument, and not redeemable for cash.

  • Every new account receives a one-time free balance.
  • Larger top-ups grant more tokens per unit of currency. The exact grant is shown before you pay and is fixed at the moment of purchase; a later pricing change does not re-price a purchase you have already made.
  • Tokens are consumed by answers, live transcription, screen reads, and session time. Each answer costs the greater of its real cost and its mode’s minimum.
  • Tokens do not expire while your account is open.
  • Prices, rates, and the amount a currency unit buys may change for futurepurchases. We will not change the token balance you already hold.

Refunds and delivery are covered in our Refunds & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these terms. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for any taxes arising in your jurisdiction.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Elovix available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Third-party model and speech providers can be slow, rate-limited, or unavailable, and we depend on them. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

8. AI output — what we do and do not promise

Answers are generated by large language models. They can be wrong, outdated, or confidently mistaken, including about your own background. You are responsible for everything you say in an interview. Read before you speak; do not treat generated text as fact, advice, or a substitute for your own judgement. Nothing Elovix produces is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

9. Our intellectual property

The Elovix software, brand, interface, and prompts are ours and remain ours. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service as intended. Nothing else is granted.

10. Termination

You may stop using Elovix and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, suspected fraud, chargeback abuse, or where required by law. On termination your licence ends; the retention rules in the Privacy Policy govern what happens to your data. Unused tokens are treated under the Refunds policy.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Elovix is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or undetectable by any particular third-party software.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost opportunities, or the outcome of any interview, assessment, or hiring decision. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your use of Elovix in breach of these terms — in particular use of it where assistance was prohibited, or recording without the consent the law required.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the dashboard before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. The current version is always at this URL.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
